Just posted some photos from my last two cycles. Sorry they are no lycra photos in this set, I am wearing it under everything else if that helps!

Here are my cycling statistics for January. I am off to a flying start. Done the most miles I have ever done in January and set a new record for the longest cycle in January.
So far my yearly stands at 400.91 miles, which is very good since we are only one month into the new year. Total miles since April 2003 is now at 22,007.1.
Here is the data from January 2012:-

Here are my favourite cycling photos from the month
Happy days I did my longest cycle of the year so far. I did 30.60 miles. I was hoping to do more, but my front light died on me. I normally have extra batteries on me. I looked everywhere in my cycling bag and could not find them. I even took the batteries out of my camera in the hope they would work. For some reason they did not work. Ready for the next cycle, I need to make sure I have extra AA batteries in my cycling bag again.
I will leave you with cycling statistics from the cycle:-

I am back to my normal happy self, now my cold has gone at long last. Since I am fully over it. I got out on my bike for the first time in a whole 7 days. Today I did want I call the “Colsterworth loop” not the longest cycle in the world since it’s only 19 miles. But I did not want to over do it. But tomorrow, if the weather plays ball I will try to do a longer cycle.
I will leave you with cycling statistics from the Colsterworth loop cycle.

Over the past 24 to 48 hours I have been working like mad giving the cycle route section a much needed update. Never been fully happy with it, since the new version of the website went live last year.
The new look includes photos from each cycle. Well ones that I have photos from anyway. The maps have been changed from the satellite view to map view. I have also been adding elevation data. Also added new routes, which I have listed below.
New routes:-
I am sure you will have read a number of days back I ordered myself some new cycling pants from ChainReactionCycles.com well they are here. I really like them so far and no idea why I think they also look sexy on :).
Here are some photos of myself wearing them. I took the second photo, just to show I am still wearing my sexy lycra cycling shorts under them.
Well pleased with myself just done the longest cycle of the month so far. I did a grand total of 28.06 miles. Also set my fastest speed of the month. My average was the slowest of the year so far. Then it was the cycle with the most hills, so far this year. So I guess my legs are still getting use to hills again. And to person that asked if I am going slower due to putting on weight at Christmas. No that’s not the case at all. I always go slower in winter.
I will leave you with cycling statistics from the Great Ponton loop cycle.

Today I went a very nice cycle to Rutland Water and back. After looking at my cycling statistics for last year. Turns out I have not cycled there since April. So this year I need to change that and go more often again.
This year is off to great start, I have now done the second most miles I ever ever done in January. Total so far stands at 83.18 miles. To bet last years total I have to do a total of 355.6. Meaning I still have to do another 272.42 miles to bet it. So let’s just hope this good weather lasts till the end of the month.
I will leave you with cycling statistics from the Rutland Water cycle.

Last year my main cycling goal was to do 5,000 miles. Which I am pleased to say I did. This year I have set myself lots of smaller goals.
Here is a list of them. I am sure this list will just grow and grow.
If you have set any cycling goals this year, I would love to hear about them. Add your comments to this post PLEASE :).
That’s me just done my second cycle of 2012. I did 19.08 miles, so a bit better than I did yesterday. My average speed was much better it was 13.4 mph. When it was only 12.6 mph, the other day.
You will be pleased to hear I was only wearing tight cycling gear, no trousers over the top of my cycling shorts. Since I broke the button just above the fly zip. So they don’t stay up :(. But right now, my loss is your gain. But I would make the most of it, while you can. I have ordered some new one’s from Chain Reaction Cycles, which should turn up later this week.
I will leave you with cycling statistics from today’s ride.
