GNER, the East Coast Trains of it’s time!

Now we have lost, the East Coast Trains railway franchises to Virgin East Coast trains. It got me looking back, at some of the GNER photos, I have taken. GNER still has to be favourite livery of all time!

  1. I do agree the livery did look great on the class 91’s. You’ve also captured a slice of history in the form of the class 373, ‘North of London’ Eurostar set, that ill fated decision to run direct services to Paris from Leeds etc.
    It was a shame when the train company pulled out due to financial issues.

    Hopefully, public feeling will convince Virgin to reinstate the rewards scheme.
