That’s episode 108 of my podcast on-line. Been meaning to record a new one for months, but only just got around to it. In this post episode, I am Just wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Since I know, I will not be doing another podcast this year. Also want to see if anyone it still listening before I record a full one in the New Year.

Every year the Peterborough Greyhound restaurant and kitchen staff go out for a Christmas meal. Believe it or not. It’s only the second time I have ever been. Which is bad since I have been working at the dog track since 2003. The last time I went was 2009.
I mainly went this year, since every year I hear so many stories about all the things that happened. So this year, I wanted to see it for myself :).
It was a good night, other than one of the young ones being sick all over this table! So can’t see the Ibrahimi Restaurant having us back again next year!

I have just upgraded this website is run the newest version of WordPress. Also at the same time, I upgraded to the latest theme version. Which let us add lots of new features.
Here is a quick list of the new features.
I am, so pleased with myself. I have just, only gone and cycled 5,000 miles this year. Which was my goal for the year. Meaning I have done a whole 1,000 more miles this year, than I did last year (2010). Before anyone asks. No I will not be setting a goal of 6,000 miles for next year.
Since it was a bit on the cold side. I did the last 25.5 miles that I needed to do wearing a wetsuit. A photo of me geared up can be see to the right. More from the set can be found @ www.gordon-valentine.com/zenphoto/me/2011/page/18/.
I will leave you with cycling statistics from today’s ride.

Great news for anyone like myself living in the UK, who’s got Freeesat. They are adding another 5 channels to their line up :).
The extra channels are Channel 5 +1 (128), 5USA (129), 5USA +1 (130), 5* (131) and 5* +1 (132).
I have no idea why people pay $ky lots and lots of money, when you can have Freeesat for nothing and it’s even got 5 free HD channels.
I can’t believe it. I now only have 25.5 miles left till I get to 5,000 of cycling this year on the bike! So I am going to make sure I do that tomorrow. It can rain all day, for all I care. That’s not going to stop me!!

It could have been a cold and wet cycle. If it was not for the fact I went out cycling wearing a wetsuit. The first 5 or so miles, it was dry and sunny. Then it started to piss it down. Since I was wearing a wetsuit, I was nice and warm.
