Katya Adler travels along the Russian border to investigate the consequences of Putin’s war on the west and how life is changing for the people living there. She begins in Poland before heading to Lithuania and Latvia where she finds border tension over desperate migrants and an unusual holiday spot on the Baltic coast.

On the Norfolk coast, chef Scott Dougal picks up fresh crab for his lunch time service, while shepherds Poppy and Joe check on lambs born overnight on their farm in Suffolk. Elsewhere, cameras follow the crowds at Gorleston Golf Club in Norfolk as they attend the first big meeting of the season, the Lady’s Open.

WOW! That was one very, very hot cycle! Well pleased with myself, I did 17.23 miles. Making it the second longest cycle of the month! Plus only 5 days into September and already done more miles, than during the whole of August!!

Secrets of the London Underground (Yesterday | 8:00pm to 9:00pm | Tuesday 5th September 2023)

Archway. Series 3, episode 10. Tim Dunn and Siddy Holloway explore hidden parts of Archway. Once called Highgate to encourage more people to travel there before an actual Highgate station existed.

On the last leg of their adventure, Dan Walker and Helen Skelton are in the north Pennines, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty close to Helen’s Cumbria home. Helen introduces Dan to one of her favourite Cumbrian villages, Dufton, where she joins a local running club on a steep fell run up Dufton Pike. Dan heads to Slaggyford, where he takes a ride on the South Tynedale Railway – the highest narrow-gauge railway in the north of England, with spectacular views for all five miles of the journey.
