To help attract the next generation of young players to their club, some reluctant girls are roped in to deliver a cricket training session at a local primary school, with surprising and heartwarming results.

Dwayne is under pressure when Ashton exposes his deepest secrets to the entire school, while Nisha is conflicted when her maternal and professional instincts clash. Durham Dales 2025. Series 26, episode 1. Kevin McCloud follows more of Britain’s most ambitious self-building projects, as intrepid individuals attempt to design and construct the home of their dreams. After 40 years living largely in the southeast of England, artist Sarah is returning to her roots in the northeast with towering ambitions for an exposed, three-acre plot that she’s bought at auction in the Durham Dales. She wants to create a radical home and creative hub combined, including a studio and gallery for displaying and selling art. With her budget of £330,000, Sarah hopes to build with a super-sustainable yet still relatively unknown and hard-to-predict material – hempcrete. Left exposed throughout the interior, the hempcrete will provide a dramatic earthy look, but this relies on the building process going perfectly. But, just a few months into Sarah’s eight-month schedule, her plan to move in before winter is scuppered as her inexperience as a project manager starts to show. With material costs going through the roof, and her budget doing likewise, selling her one-bed holiday cottage looks like the only way to keep building. As the critical hemp process gets going, and proves increasingly tortuous and unpredictable, the success of Sarah’s project hangs in the balance.

Midnight Emergency. Series 10, episode 10. In Blackpool, it’s just after midnight when the crew receive reports of a man in the water. After finding him unresponsive, it’s vital to get him urgent medical attention. On the south Devon coast, the Exmouth crew receive a mayday call from a windsurfer with equipment failure, who is now drifting out to sea.

The Day That Changed the World. Series 1, episode 1.  The broadcaster goes on a landmark journey through 200 years of train travel, marking the moment Britain’s modern railway was born. He visits key locations in the story of this pioneering railway, including the town of Shildon, from where the train hauled by Locomotion No 1 set off in 1825.

Kayak Mayday. Series 10, episode 8. A kayaker has called a mayday after getting into trouble near the Farne Islands. Although he is able to communicate his location via his VHF radio, his voice is faltering, and it’s a race against time for the Seahouses crew to find him. In Crantock, north Cornwall, the lifeguards are alerted by a teenage boy that his uncle has been caught in a rip current at the north end of the beach.

An exploration of one of the IRA’s most significant attacks on mainland Britain during the Troubles, which killed five people and seriously injured 34 others. Directly targeting Margaret Thatcher, the bomb was planted three weeks before the Conservative Party conference, hidden beneath a bathtub in room 629 of Brighton’s Grand Hotel. This programme features new testimony from many of those affected and an interview Patrick Magee gave in 2022 about his role in the bombing.

Scott and Sam resort to selling hot dogs to boost their budget and Kelly and Jeremy take a different route to the rest of the teams but a broken-down bus pushes them hours behind.

In the penultimate leg of the race, the teams travel from Tigre up high in the far north of Argentina to the 10,000 year-old mountain town of Tilcara. The teams have just four days and limited budges to traverse almost half the length of Argentina. Race leaders Scott and Sam opt to take the road less travelled, feeling the pressure of their big ferry spend, while Kelly and Jeremy take the most direct route. Kola and Mary Ellen come up with a plan to stretch their budget as they’re left with just 19 percent of what they had and Jeff and Freddy are determined to make up the time they’ve lost.
