Walk : Dollar Glen and Glen Quey

Today Neil and myself did a great walk called “Dollar Glen and Glen Quey” from the “Loch Lomond, the Trossachs & Stirling” book in the Pathfinder series of great walking guides.

The walk was around 6 and 1/4 miles going by the book! It was a great walk, of course would have been better if Castle Campbell, had been open! But then it was New Years Day. So we did, of course know it would not be open. It just gives us a great idea to go back again, when it is open!

More Ben Lomond photos!

Here are some more, Ben Lomond from last week! Big thanks to Neil for them!! 🙂

Lake District Tour April 2015 : Day 1

Here are some photos from day 1 of the mini tour of the Lake District.

On the way up, stopped at the Eden Valley Railway, which is just off the A66. Driven past it so many times. This is the first time, I’ve ever stopped at it! Right now the line, has only got one station which is Warcop Station. It’s only a short line, at approximately 2.2 miles. Still, if you are driving past or in that area, I would check it out!

Once we had checked at Coledale Inn, in Braithwaite, Nr.Keswick. Our base for the next number of days. We set off on a great walk with the dog! We followed a walk in the “Dog Friendly Pub Walks: Lake District” book. Which is where, we also found the place he picked to stay it.

Starting to look around Castle Bytham

After moving from Little Bytham to Castle Bytham, just over a month ago. It’s time to start walking the dog around the village. Funny I only lived 2 miles away, but don’t really know this village at all!

So here are some photos from today’s dog walk.
