Christmas Special 2025. The office Christmas party of a lifetime takes a dark turn when four co-workers wake up to find a stranger dead in the pool of their villa. DI Mervin Wilson and the team identify the murder weapon, but are left baffled when they find it was locked in a drawer when the murder took place – thousands of miles away from the crime scene. Meanwhile, Mervin anxiously waits to hear back from his newly discovered brother, which prevents him from getting into the festive spirit and embracing Saint Marie’s Christmas celebrations. Festive instalment of the detective drama, starring Don Gilet, with guest appearances from Josie Lawrence, Kate Ashfield, Pearl Mackie and James Baxter.

Christmas 2025. Nick Knowles and the team step in to help a youth club that has lost its home in the town of Beverley, East Yorkshire. The Cherry Tree Community Centre once gave local children a safe place to meet up and find support – but when the pandemic hit, the building was turned into a food hub for families, leaving the kids out in the cold. With another harsh winter on the way, Nick, designer Gabrielle Blackman and the DIY SOS regulars enlist the help of local tradespeople – as well as a few Gladiators – to construct a new, purpose-built youth centre on the edge of the park.

Demolition works in Poplar in a tenement block reveal a long-buried secret at Easter 1967, which leads to a police investigation that comes very close to Nonnatus House, and creates a testing and emotional experience for the team. The Flemings return to the area with both good and bad news, and Sister Julienne agrees to take on a sensitive delivery. Nancy’s first day as a midwife gets off to a bad start when her bedroom ceiling collapses.

Warship: Life at Sea (Channel 5/HD | 9:00pm to 10:00pm | Monday 3rd January 2022) ** NEW SERIES **

Return of the documentary following the ups and downs of everyday life for a Royal Navy crew, this time going aboard frigate HMS Northumberland on a four-month tour of duty with the 220 personnel. Captain Thom Hobbs prepares his ship to set sail, with deputy logistics officer Meghan Burgoyne overseeing the loading of the copious amounts of food required for the time at sea, and young chef Sauhil James prepares for his very first deployment.
