On one of the hottest days of the year, the Lyme Regis crew receive reports of a man suffering from heat stroke.

Searching for a Pulse. Series 11, episode 5. When a kayaker calls a friend to say she’s in trouble out at sea, the line suddenly goes dead, and the Happisburgh lifeboat crew finally find her over a mile off shore, face down and unresponsive. In St Helier, the capital of Jersey, a family have had to abandon their grounded yacht, leaving four young children in a life raft. On the north Yorkshire coast, the Withernsea crew respond to a 999 call from a young man cut off on some notoriously unstable cliffs. And in Littlehampton, West Sussex, a mayday call comes in from a dive boat that has lost engine power – leaving two of its divers drifting away.

The American composer’s acclaimed catalogue of shows, songs and scores includes many of Disney’s greatest hits, and conductor Hicks and the BBC Philharmonic are joined by singers Marisha Wallace, Lucie Jones and other West End stars, as well as performers from the National Youth Music Theatre, in a celebration of this classic songwriter, including excerpts from the scores for The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast and Enchanted.

In Little and Broad Haven, south Wales, there’s a frantic search for two paddleboarders swept over a mile out to sea. Also, the Hayling Island crew race against time to rescue a fisherman trapped in mud.

In North Berwick, a call comes in from a woman whose husband has been blown out to sea on a kayak that has capsized.
