One day into December and set a new record

We’re just one day into December and I have set a new record for the longest cycle I have ever done in December. It was only 29.26 mile’s which during the summer would be nothing at all. During the winter, the cold always stops me from doing so many mile’s and so does the lack of day light. Since it gets dark right now before 4pm.

I have also now done the second most miles, I have ever done in December. Only need to do another 28.2 miles to bet last years record.

Photos from today’s cycle.

Another day, another cycle in a wetsuit

I wanted to make the most of the great British summer, so I went out another cycle in a wetsuit. Below are some photos I took while out on the bike. Hope that you all like them :).

Just done a 65 mile bike ride

So pleased with myself, just done the longest cycle of the year, also one of the longest ones I have ever done. Would be the longest if you don’t count the End 2 End cycle, where I did 89 miles in one day. So now on with some of the statistics from the cycle.

  • Distance: 64.56 miles.
  • Time: 4:58:40 (h:m:s).
  • Avg Speed: 13.0 mph.
  • Max Speed: 28.7 mph.
  • Elevation Gain: 531 meters.
  • Elevation Loss: 533 meters
  • Min Elevation: 36 meters.
  • Max Elevation: 164 meters.

Here is a nice map of the full cycle. Which does really give you an idea of just how long 64 miles really is.

March 2011 cycling statistics

Here are my cycling statistics for March. I now this month is still not fully over, I was really hoping to get out on the bike again one last time this month. It’s just so windy, it’s not going to happen. The wind speed is up 30 mph. I don’t really feel like getting blowing off my bike. It’s really pissed me off, since I really wanted to do another 34 miles, then I would have done 700 miles this month.

Here is the data from March 2011:-

  • Total cycles: 29
  • Total Distance: 666 miles
  • Total Time: 50:07:28 (h:m:s)
  • Avg Speed: 12.9 mph
  • Max Time: 4:30:57 (h:m:s)
  • Max Speed: 33.9 mph
  • Avg Distance: 23.11 miles
  • Max Distance: 60.10 miles

Data from: Garmin Connect.

Thursday – 11th November 2010

Opps not done a update in a good while. Not really done much at all today, did get some good news about job at the Peterborough Greyhound Stadium, which means a bit more money 🙂 Which I am going to put towards doing End to End cycle, which I am hoping to do again, August next year. The other main news of the day is that I watched a new DVD called Tan Lines, that turned up from amazon.co.uk. It was a good film, still not really too sure what to make of it, so need to watch it again.

Tuesday – 20th July 2010

Today Hobbz and Tyler and myself went to Hunstanton. It’s the most fun, I have had in a long time, not just because I got them both in wetsuits, but of course that did help. They are just two very nice lads, they are so easy to get on with.
