First railway trip of 2023, booked!

Happy days. That’s me booked my first railway trip of 2023. Which will take us from Grantham to Harrogate. Which will tick off one new railway station for myself and two for Bugsy.

Then we are walking the Dales Way Link – Harrogate to Ilkley. Which covers around 16 miles, should take us between 6 to 8 hours.

Then we are getting the train back from Ilkley to Grantham via Leeds. Since it was only around £8 more, we are going First Class between Leeds and Grantham. Which will be a first for Bugsy!

So looking forward to this! Plus it’s a test day for doing the rest of the Dales Way in April…

WOW! So far during 2023, I’ve done 500 miles of exercise. Which is made up of 84 miles of cycling and 416 miles of walking.

Where it says running… That’s my walking data!

The Dales Way next month?!?!?

All going well next month (April), Bugsy, Mark G (house mate) and myself will be walking The Dales Way! It will be my biggest adventure, since doing the End to End cycle back in 2009!

The Dales Way runs for 80 miles from Ilkley in West Yorkshire to Bowness-on-Windermere in Cumbria. We will be doing the whole walk in one go! Not like other long walks, that I’ve done, which have been done over weeks, months and some even years!

So please make sure you give both www.strava.com/athletes/gsvalentine and www.strava.com/athletes/bugsythedog a follow!
