I am sure by now, you will have seen the photos from my fourth of the year in a wetsuit. Now here is the vlog to go with them :).
Thunder and Lightning = wetsuit cycling
It was Thunder and Lightning on and off most of the day. Which to most people would mean a day indoors. But to me, that means putting a wetsuit on and getting out on the bike and getting extra wet :).
Here some photos from the cycle. I did hope to get more. But I did not want the camera getting any more wet than it already had.
I also filmed a vlog, which I will try to get on-line in the next number of days.
Cycle miles now stands at 2,818.5
I have now done 2,818.5 miles on the bike so far this year. So it’s now the second most miles I have ever done in single year on the bike. I only have last years record 4,001.3 miles to bet. So I have to do 1,182.8 miles to bet that record. Which I am more than sure I can do. I had set myself a target for 5,000 miles so year. I can’t see myself getting that high now. But I will be more than happy if I get to 4,500 miles :).

Another day, another cycle in a wetsuit

Vlog: Cycling in a wetsuit, again!
Here is the vlog from my second cycle of the year in a wetsuit :).
Cycling in a wetsuit, yes again!
Just done a 70 mile bike ride
Just done the longest cycle of the year. Just to think when I set off I was only planning to do 40 miles. If you don’t End 2 End cycle, that I did in 2009. It’s now the longest single day cycle I have ever done :). So well pleased with myself. So now on with some of the statistics from the cycle.
- Distance: 70.02 miles.
- Time: 5:13:16 (h:m:s).
- Avg Speed: 13.4 mph.
- Max Speed: 28.1 mph.
- Elevation Gain: 544 meters.
- Elevation Loss: 543 meters
- Min Elevation: 9 meters.
- Max Elevation: 164 meters.
Here is a nice map of the full cycle. Which does really give you an idea of just how long 70 miles really is.
Vlog: HTC lycra cycling gear
