The line runs south to Strata Florida and the eerie ruins of a once-thriving milk factory at Pont Llanio. At Pencader, an abandoned tunnel, the longest in west Wales, serves as a reminder that hope for re-opening this line is not lost quite yet.

I can now half tick off Lockerbie railway station. I say off tick, since I did it way, way back sometime between 2001 and 2003. When I was travelling between Liverpool Lime Street and Glasgow Central, but had to change trains to due to a strike!
It’s first time, I’ve been back since then! This time, I had time to take photos!
