Guy Martin explores the world of electric vehicles and attempts to set a new world record for the fastest road-legal battery vehicle, driving on a quarter-mile drag strip. The vehicle he chooses is a classic Volkswagen Beetle fitted with state-of-the-art Tesla technology, that allows the lightweight 50-year-old classic to accelerate faster than most supercars. He also sets off on a 1100-mile road trip to determine how reliable the country’s vehicle charging infrastructure is.

Fern explores the north of Cornwall, and delves into the pagan roots that may explain why the area is awash with tales of the supernatural, from witchcraft to pixies and giants. A look at the people who live and work in and around the remarkable landscapes of Wales’s three national parks. This episode features a visit to the slopes of the Brecon Beacons, where hill farmer Garry Williams and his family’s flock needs to be brought down from the mountains for lambing. Meanwhile, in Snowdonia, climbers John Crook and Dafydd Williams, who climb all over the world, but are always drawn back to the Carneddau mountain range on their doorstep, attempt a first climb of the Kirkus route on Pen yr Ole Wen – following in the footsteps of pioneering mountaineer Colin Kirkus.

Motorhoming with Merton & Webster (Channel 5/HD | 8:00pm to 9:00pm | Friday 13th August 2021)

Paul Merton and his wife Suki Webster are in the Lake District, the first time they’ve had a holiday there. Their first destination is Kendal, but first they have to negotiate their motorhome under a low bridge. Later they go to the Kendal mint cake factory, and after crossing Lake Windermere by ferry from Bowness, they head to a beautiful campsite on Coniston Water.

Pride in London cancelled for second year

Well that’s Pride in London cancelled for second year in a row! But do think it’s for the best! But, I had been looking forward to it! Then way to many people have not been double vaccinated!! So it would not have been anywhere close to 75% safe going!!

Now really looking forward to London Pride 2022, since it will be best one YET!!!
