WOW! What is going on with me?!?!? That’s me just done the second 30+ mile of the week! Which also means, I’ve now done 3 x 30 mile cycles this year!

So now I need to aim to do another one 40+ mile cycle and also do my first 50+ mile cycle of 2022!

UK TV programmes to watch this week : 02/07/2022

Top Gear (BBC 1/HD | 8:00pm to 9:00pm | Sunday 3rd July 2022)

Freddie Flintoff, Chris Harris and Paddy McGuinness celebrate 100 years of the BBC by tackling 1920s-style motorsport. Continuing the motorsport theme, Paddy also delves into the history of BMW’s legendary M-cars and Chris gets to grips Ford’s new WRC racer. Documentary examining the collapse of the Champlain Towers South apartment building in Miami in 2021, and looking at the implications for other buildings around the world. The programme explores the factors that might have led to the collapse, and also looks to the future to ask what lessons can be learnt from this disaster.

British Planes That Won the War with Rob Bell (Channel 5/HD | 9:00pm to 10:00pm | Friday 8th July 2022)

The engineer tells the story of the Harrier Jump Jet, the first operational aircraft to employ vertical take-off and landing, or VTOL. We meet Harrier pilots who took part in its first combat operation in the Falklands War, and hear about the influential role that the planes played.

That was a “fun” 18.13 mile cycle before work!

Well that was “fun” 18.13 mile cycle before work! It was fun, since somehow the Regulation Piped Locking Leather Collar and Clejuso handcuffs ended up in bag! Which of course, ended up being locked on me! 😈

Going by my VeloViewer Infographic, I’ve had 179 active days so far in 2022! Which means, I’ve done at least one cycle or walk each day so far this year!

That’s me now done a total distance of 1,225 miles this year. Which is made up 565 miles of cycling and 660 miles on walking!!

Pleased that at long last, my max cycling distance has jumped from 33 miles up to 42 miles. Also my max ride elevation has gone from 1,381 feet to 1,670 feet.

Now the next big job, is getting my cycling miles to overtake my walking ones…

So, so pleased with myself! Just did my first 40+ mile cycle of 2022! Just wish, I had not been so windy! Now Of course, now I need to aim for 50+ mile cycle!

It was also great cycling around Rutland Water…. Not sure, when I last did it! I know, I walked around it, last year…
