Commonwealth Games 2022 (BBC 1/HD | 7:00pm to 10:30pm | Thursday 28th July 2022)
Clare Balding introduces live coverage as the 22nd Commonwealth Games is officially opened at Birmingham’s Alexander Stadium ahead of 11 days of top-class sporting competition. The creative team behind the ceremony includes Peaky Blinders’ writer and creator Steven Knight, and it is expected to showcase West Midlands talent and diversity. At the heart of the ceremony is the traditional Parade of Nations, where all the participating athletes walk behind the flags of their countries in a celebration of sporting unity. The ceremony culminates with the Competitors’ Oath and the finale to the Queen’s Baton Relay, which has travelled 90,000 miles around every nation and territory in the Commonwealth.

During the cycle, I did 24.78 miles. 1.96 of them were new miles, going by Wandrer.earth. In other words, roads I’ve never cycled on before!

So glad, that at long last… I’ve started to get some miles in before work. I did 19.31 miles this morning. Which I am more than pleased with!
