So far I’ve walked 11.96 miles this year! But still got long way to make #walk1000miles, but I am off to a good start! 🙂

That sure was a great 7.1 mile walk with Neil. The walk started and ended in Killearn. We left the village using the water track, then walked down to the Glengoyne Distillery, then walked along part of the West Highland Way, then up Station Road and back to the start point in Killearn.

My goal in 2018 is to walk at least 1,000 miles! Why not take the pledge yourself?? Sign up over at www.walk1000miles.co.uk.
For me it should be a walk in the park! Going by my Garmin Connect profile, I’ve already done 2,249 miles of recorded walking this year.
Job done, we both climbed Ben Nevis, which is the which is the highest mountain in the British Isles!! Standing at 1,345 metres above sea level!!! We could not have had a better day for it!! Could see for miles and miles at the top!
I would say that doing Ben Nevis, is right up there with doing the End to End cycle!
And just to show that we really did it! The route we took can be seen at www.strava.com/activities/1088565730

That’s me now done 891.62 miles of walking since, since 6th October 2016! Going by my Garmin Vivoactive HR GPS Smart Watch. So should hit 1,000 miles in the next month or so. Since right now, I am doing between 20 and 30 miles of walking every week! Yes, Cooper, is very well walked boy!
Now at 1,765,064 steps! So will get that to well over 2 million before the middle of the year. Also going up Ben Nevis in July. So that will end a good number steps!

Had a great mini walk around the Cheltenham Racecourse. Was only a short 2.6 mile walk, since we had to get back to railway station! Did not want to miss the last train back to Toddington!

Today Mark and myself set off to the Monsal Trail yet again! This time we parked at (Topley Pike layby on the A6) then walked down 1 in 5 hill to the start/end of the Monsal Trail at Wyedale. We then walked a good 7 miles to the Headstone Viaduct. Which of course did meant we had to walk the whole way back again! We did really notice that 1 in 5 whole walking back up to to the car!
I will now leave you with some of the many photos I took!
