blog Cycling End to End No Comments

I spent most of the day giving my End to End cycle website the biggish updated, it’s ever had. So please can you check it out and let me know what you think of it, by posting comments here. To the left you can see a screen dump of what it use to look like and what it looks like now.

In other news, very sad news. One of my next door neighbours dogs has died. So spend a good number of hours with her, checking that she is OK. It’s never nice having to say good bye to a dog, he was about 13 and half years old.

Sorry about the lack of updates. Just not really been doing much, other then cycling and working, so not really had anything to blog about. But today, I have got some new stuff to tell you, it’s about the End to End cycle, that I did in August last year. I have just updated it’s website and added full End to End cycle statistics and heart rate data. I am planning in the process of starting to planning to do it again. All going to plain I am hoping to do it again in 2011 or 2012. This time, I am going to try to get a group of at least 4-6 people doing it.

The main thing that I did today, was to go out the first cycle of this year… thinking about it, the first cycle since November last year. Since it’s been so cold, also had lots and lots of snow. I am not a big fan of cycling in the snow, since I know I would come off my bike and hurt myself. I was well pleased with my first cycle of the year, I did 19.05 miles, with a average speed of 13 mph, did the cycle in 1 hour 28 minutes and 6 seconds. I filmed a new vlog, in which I speak about having my nights cut at work, like happened this time last year. To make the vlog less boring, I had a shower in my Stevens Racing Suit, while recording it.

I spend most of the day, with a friend called Jamie, who I knowing since Primary School. We had great fun doing some Gocaching, we found 7 in total. So not a bad days work. So I have now found 20 in total. My aim to get to find at least 50 by the end of the year.

I made it all the way from John O’Groats to Land’s End. I am, so, so proud of myself. It’s even more amazing, since I did well over half of the cycle by myself, since Mike pulled out of the End to End cycle and ended our 3 year relationship at the same time. It just goes to show that I am a lot stronger that I use to be.

The main news of the day is that I am single again. Mike’s gone and ended our 3 year relationship. So I am very upset to say the least. I did not even see it coming, I was sure that everything was going well with us, but I guess not. We’re had, bad periods before, but this time, I think it’s over for good. Why I am always the one get gets dumped I have no idea. Crap happens, just need to try to move on with my life. But it’s going to take some time, Since I was more then sure he was the one.

Today Mike and myself had fun at the Peterborough Greyhound Stadium doing a photo shoot for the Peterborough Evening Telegraph for a news article that should be going in tomorrows ET about the End to End cycle that we’re doing. While there we also did some telephone interviews with Lite FM and Peterborough’s Heart FM but we’re not too sure when they will get aired.
