Tim Dunn and Siddy Holloway have a night-time track walk exploring long forgotten stations on the District Line in Whitechapel.

Children of 9/11: Our Story (Channel 4/HD | 9:00pm to 11:00pm | Monday 16th August 2021)

Documentary telling the stories of six young people whose fathers were killed in the 9/11 attacks, either before they were born, or before they had a chance to meet, and whose lives have been shaped by an event they didn’t witness. The programme features home movie footage shot over the course of their lives and candid accounts of their mothers of the attacks.

George Clarke’s Remarkable Renovations (Channel 4/HD | 9:00pm to 10:00pm | Wednesday 18th August 2021)

Architect George Clarke visits Three Ways Farm near Stockport, which has been in Gordon’s family since the 1950s. His late mother’s dream was for Gordon to turn the 120-year-old cattle shed and milking parlour into a home for himself, so he and partner Lisa have set out to make that a reality, creating their first home together. Will it end up being something his mother would have been proud of?

After two weeks fishing their way across the lochs and rivers of Scotland, the five anglers arrive at Oban on the west coast of Scotland. However, Les Dennis bows out for the day, leaving Rosemary Shrager and Shane Lynch harbour-bound to sample the freshly landed delights alone.

Epic Wales: Valleys, Mountains & Coasts (Channel 4/HD | 8:00pm to 9:00pm | Friday 20th August 2021)

A freediver and wildlife photographer studies puffins on the Pembrokeshire coast, using specially designed headgear to get as close as possible to the birds, as well as exploring the kelp forests that lie beneath the surface in St Brides bay. In Snowdonia, an upland sheep and cattle farmer prepares his prize bull for the auction ring, and In the Brecon Beacons, father and son paragliders attempt a launch off Hay Bluff.

Motorhoming with Merton & Webster (Channel 5/HD | 8:00pm to 9:00pm | Friday 20th August 2021)

Paul Merton and wife Suki Webster head for Somerset on the next leg of their grand UK tour in their motorhome – now christened Captain Narrow Squeak. Their first destination is Minehead, where they charter a fishing boat and, much to their surprise, land a small haul of fish for their supper – except they don’t have the heart to keep them, so throw them all back.

The London Underground – first operating in 1863 – changed the way people get around cities forever, driving travellers deep underground to clear congested streets.
