Turns out while in Scotland, I’ve stared walking anther canal without really meaning too. This time, The Union Canal (Edinburgh and Glasgow Union Canal).
So far, I’ve (along with Nick and Neil) walked from the very start, which is close to the Falkirk Wheel to Polmont. A distance of 9.58 miles.
Check out the route, we took over at www.strava.com/activities/2441792248

I can now tick off Beinn na Lap. Making it, my fourth Munro. So only got, another 278 left to go…
Really, can’t belive, how lucky, we were with the weather! Could not, have picked a better day for it! Was so hot, Nick and myself got sunburnt. Neil was OK, since he put suntan lotion on.
Oh and yes, I did film a vlog during the walk… Will try to edit it and get it on-line in the next number of days…
You can check out the map, showing all the ones, I’ve done over at www.walkhighlands.co.uk/Forum/memberlist.php?mode=viewmap&u=50976

So happy, I got a photo of a TransPennine Express Class 802/2 while waiting for a friend at Grantham railway station.
So glad, that I got to use Angel Road railway station, before it closed! It closed on 31 May 2019, since then, the platform has already stripped and the footbridge already taken down!
Here are some photos from my visit on 9th May 2019.
