Great walk around Whalley
That was sure a great walk around Whalley in Lancashire. Just funny to think, that if, I had not moved to Scotland when I was, very, very young. That’s the area, I would have growing up in! Since I was born in Chorley and use to live in Leyland…
Anyway back to the walk, I can’t get over just how nice Whalley is! So much going on, for a small village!

She hears damning testimony from serving officers and discovers evidence of misconduct and the manipulation of crime figures. The programme reveals leaked documents which show corruption at the very heart of the force and a culture of fear within its ranks, documents those at the top tried to suppress. She asks the current chief constable whether, with his own controversial background, he is fit to lead.

Paddington Station 24/7 (Channel 5/HD | 9:00pm to 10:00pm | Monday 30th April 2018)
Behind-the-scenes documentary series about one of the UK’s busiest transport hubs and the western rail network it serves. A track circuit failure closes Platform 5 which is used by numerous high-speed trains, British Transport Police are out in force as rival Oxford and Millwall fans use the network, and a young man is seen on CCTV walking dangerously close to the edge of the platform.

History series. Tony Robinson tells the turbulent history of six of Britain’s cathedrals. Liverpool cathedral is the Church of England’s newest cathedral, and it’s the largest in Britain. The cathedral was designed in the Gothic style by Giles Gilbert Scott, who also designed the red telephone box. It took 74 years to build and was paid for by money donated from the people of Liverpool.

Documentary series. Michael Portillo unlocks the doors to four extraordinary abandoned locations. Since it opened 400 years ago, Shepton Mallet prison has seen thousands of prisoners, numerous executions and countless escape attempts. It has been home to gangsters, and during the Second World War a safe house for Britain’s most precious historic documents such as the Magna Carta.
