On the east coast of Scotland, volunteers from Dunbar race to save three children trapped in a cave by rising tides, while in the west, the Tobermory crew comes to the aid of a yacht caught in a storm and being forced onto the rocks. In England, the Blyth crew searches for an 80-year-old man who has gone missing after leaving home to look for lobsters on the coast.

The remaining celebrities must face their fears if they are to qualify for the cross-channel swim. They tackle their first night swim in Loch Lomond, enduring darkness and gruelling temperatures. Emotions are running high as the team is pushed to the limit, and each swimmer must decide if they are ready to face the challenge ahead.

Here, the first of eight gruelling, themed rounds sees `The Restless Earth” brought to life. Three teams of enthusiasts set about manufacturing a deluge of volcanoes, earthquakes and other small-scale natural disasters. Presented by James Richardson and Tim Shaw.

The boys are side-tracked by the intriguingly named Loch Drunkie, while the girls travel by steamboat down Lock Katrine.
