About gsvalentine

I am a 45-year-old guy, who lives in Melton Mowbray, in the East Midlands, England. I was born in Lancashire, England, during September 1979. Most people don’t believe me that I was born in England due to my strong Scottish accent. My star sign is Libra. I am 5’9” tall, 30″ waist, with blonde hair, which is sometimes short, sometimes long. I have light brown eyes. Which most people think are very sexy. I just don’t see it, myself.

Well pleased with myself now done 15,001.8 miles of cycling since, April 2003. To think I was only aiming for 14,500 miles by the end of the year. Now my next goal is to bet least years record of 2,685.9 miles, which I am more than sure I will do, since I only have another 242.6 miles to go. So should have betting that record by the end of this month 🙂

Today Hobbz and Tyler and myself went to Hunstanton. It’s the most fun, I have had in a long time, not just because I got them both in wetsuits, but of course that did help. They are just two very nice lads, they are so easy to get on with.

Today’s main news, is that I spent £240 on a new laptop. Well it’s not 100% new, I got it off a friend, who did not need it anymore, since it had just got himself a newer one. He got he it for about 3 months, so it’s still under it’s 12 month warranty. It’s a “COMPAQ CQ61-415sa” if you want to google it. I am really pleased with it so far. So since to have fast laptop again, since I had my last laptop, since 2001. But it’s done me very well to last long.

Just so you all know I am still alive after coming off my bike, doing around 30 mph. I badger run out in front of me and I had no way to stop in time, so off I went. Lots of blood everything, so glad I had a helmet on, think it saved my life. I will try to do podcast about this one day…

Thursday – 6th May 2010

I got out of bed around 10:15am, washed, had breakfast and all the normal morning stuff. Then Chris, Nick, Mark and myself went to the local polling station to vote. Not going to say who we voted for, other than two of us voted for one party and two of us for another party. I will say one thing none of us voted for the party in power right now.

Once back from voting. I give my room and the rest of the house a quick clean. Ready for one of my friends coming out for going a cycle. It’s the first time he had been over, did did not want him seeing the place look in a bit of a mess.

Nick (not the same Nick I went voting with) turned up at around 12:45pm. A bit later than he said he would come, then his time keeping has never been very good.

We set off on our bikes at 1:05pm, I only know that, since I got that time off my GPS. Before I get into the cycle, I should really say why we’re doing the cycle in the first place. The cycle is the first of many, making sure that Nick is ready for doing the End to End cycle, August next year.

So back to the cycle now, we cycled from my place to Rutland Water, then around it. The cycle was 34.28 miles. It took us 3:04:26 (h:m:s), which is longer than it would have taken me by myself. But it was very good going for Nick, since it’s the first time he’s been out on his bike, in about 7 months, if not longer. Also think it’s the longest cycle he’s ever done. So well done Nick.

Once back from the cycle, Nick went back home. Then I sorted out my dinner and eat it while watching some TV. Still loving my 32″ TV, things look so much better, than on my old 14″ TV in my bed room :).

Then I had a shower and set off into town to meet up with Tyler, Mike and Nick. It was Tyler’s 18th birthday drinks. He turned 18th two weeks, ago but still looks around 12. Some people have all the luck!

Then I had a shower and set off into town to meet up with Tyler, Mike and Nick. It was Tyler’s 18th birthday drinks. He turned 18th two weeks, ago but still looks around 12. Some people have all the luck! As normal I was the first to get there. Nick turned up at around 8:30pm, so only about 30 minutes late, which is good for Nick. Tyler and Mike, turned up at well after 9:00pm. It was fun evening out.

I got home at around 12:00am, after giving Nick a lift back home. Then I watched some of the election results on the BBC HD channel with Mark, till around 2:30am, before going to bed.

Sunday – 2rd May 2010

I filmed a new vlog, in which I speak about changing jobs at the dog track, from bar man, to bar supervisor. Also about getting a new Bravia 32-inch Widescreen TV with build in Freeview HD. Just to add to it, I do the vlog, while having a shower wearing my white lycra Pearl Izumi Team Garmin-Chipotle cycling gear.

Friday – 30th April 2010

Today was just a normal boring day in the life of Gordon. I of course went out for a cycle, but I only did 11.85 miles, for some unknowing reason I was not really in a cycling mood. So I mainly only went out, so I could say that I been out a cycle every Friday this month.

Once back from the cycle, I sorted out my lunch and eat it while watching stuff on my new Bravia 32-inch Widescreen TV.

In the evening, I was of course working at the Peterborough Greyhound Stadium, it was the busiest night I’ve ever done at the track. Since we had a special evening for Help for Heroes, which is a charity for the wounded in Britain’s current conflicts. No idea how much we raised, when I find out, I post about it, here. Also I think my first full week has bar supervisor has mainly gone well.
