The first episode features Manchester’s now-derelict Crumpsall Library, which is recreated for Leah, a retired social worker who met her late husband there as a teenager.

Tosh finally confronts Billy about Robert Tulloch’s past in the police force, suspecting his mentor was corrupt – a suggestion that Billy angrily rejects. Calder waits anxiously at the hospital for news about Louden, but her guilt eventually prompts her to go after the people responsible for the assault. A new suspect comes to light when a fingerprint at Eadie’s house is identified. However, Calder and Tosh’s interrogation of this Lunniswick local takes a surprising turn, revealing a shameful secret.

Sara Cox meets Julia, a jazz singer with powerful memories of Reading’s Central Club – a place of music, domino tournaments and Caribbean pride, where her father was a local legend. With the building now abandoned, Ethan Goodbody faces the challenge of reviving its spirit in miniature. His intention is to bring back the stage, the iconic mural and the heartbeat of a vanished community.

Celebrity Race Across the World (BBC 1/HD | 8:00pm to 9:00pm | Thursday 4th December 2025)

The penultimate leg of the race is the longest so far, with the teams travelling from the islands of Bocas del Toro on northern Panama’s Caribbean coast, to Medellín, Colombia’s second largest city. Standing in their way is the notorious and dangerous Darién Gap – their only option is to bypass it by sea, enduring a lengthy, arduous and costly boat journey, putting their dwindling budgets under pressure. On reaching the final country of the race, teams are confronted with another challenge to overcome – a heightened security risk on the route to Medellín.

Chapter One: Murder. Series 2, episode 5. A crime writer is found stabbed to death in his villa shortly after announcing his controversial comeback book at a literary festival. What happened to the weather? Started off so nice! Then I got super WET and COLD!

Well that cycle was hard going! For first 20 miles or so, the could not have been better!! Well for time of year anyway! The sun was out, and it was around 11C. Then With around 9 miles to go, the rain started! It was very cold rain, just about hail at times! Also the wind picked up at same time!

So really glad, I was wearing my Synergy Swimrun wetsuit. I still got, very wet, but at least it kept me warm!

That’s me just ordered the Arkel – TailRider 2 – Trunk Bag. Which will go well with the Arkel GT-18BP Classic – Convertible Backpack Pannier. Which I got a number of weeks back!

My main goals for 2026

These are my main goals for 2026. These are not in any order at all…

  • Walk at least two or three more days of The West Highland Way. So far done two!
  • Do more of the John Muir Way. So far done day 1, which took us from Helensburgh to Balloch.
  • Walk 1,000 miles again in year!
  • Take Bugsy and Ted on many more holidays!
  • Visit many more UK railways stations! Only ticked off 15 during 2025!
  • Buy my own E-Bike. Right now using my house mates.
  • Cycle 100 miles in a single ride! Yes, I keep saying that, maybe 2026 will be when I do it again!
  • Cycle at least 2,500 miles.
  • Get many more Trophies on Strava!
  • Starting doing vlogs again! Sure you all miss seeing me running around in Lycra and wetsuits!
  • Keep my credit card balance below £200!
  • Keep doing record hours at work!

Went a cycle wearing my O’Neill 5/4 Mutant wetsuit

Today I went on a 11.06 mile cycle while wearing my O’Neill 5/4 Mutant wetsuit. Sorry, I did not take any pics during the cycle! Since I did not set off till gone 3:25pm. With sunset being at 4:04pm, I wanted to get back home before it got fully dark!

Cameras follow Radio 2 DJ Sara Cox as she takes on her Great Northern Marathon Challenge, a five-day trek in which she jogs, runs and walks 135 miles through the wild beauty of Northumberland National Park, climbs up into the Pennines and journeys across Yorkshire while carrying a Pudsey Bear backpack. He aim is to reach Pudsey in Leeds, the town that gave the Children in Need mascot his name.

Oh, when busying working away on this website. I can often be wearing tight gear! So Lycra or a wetsuit.

Since it’s been very, very wet here! I took Ted, out a walk while wearing my Synergy Swimrun wetsuit. Under my rain gear!

Since wearing a tight wetsuit feels so nice! I kept it on, once back in the house! Just added my black motorcycle helmet! Wearing gear, also been my mind on job, while doing website stuff!
