Prudential RideLondon FreeCycle 2019

Got to say that Prudential RideLondon FreeCycle 2019 was so much fun! The weather could not have been better, was dry, mainly sunny and a lot less windy than it was last year!

This year, I did 36.68 miles. So up on last years 35.73 miles. Also I made it into London a hour later this time. Got into London Kings X just after 11:00am. Last year, was in London by 10am!!

Already starting to look forward to next years! It gets bigger and bigger each year!

Been on a LNER Azuma at last!

So happy, that I’ve been on a LNER Azuma Class 800 at long last!

I only did a short journey between London and Peterborough. So can’t really comment much about the seats yet! But do, love the extra leg room.

But so think, they need to turn down the lighting! Way, way to bright, could do with wearing sunglasses, while travelling on the LNER Azuma’s…

Used a Class 710 for the first time!

So pleased, while in London, I got to travel on a Class 710 for the very first time and yes they do look similar to the Class 345s, that will be used on the Elizabeth line.

London King’s Cross railway station ✅

Yes, I did tick off London King’s Cross railway station, a long time ago! Way back in 30th November 2002 in fact. But like more others, I always head straight to underground and head into the centre of London. But not this time, for once I walked the other way and went to end of the platforms to get some photos…
