First 60+ mile cycle of 2017!

That truly was a totally amazing cycle! Reminds me, why I love cycling so much! Just a great way to see amazing scenery, much better than being in a metal box!

Of course for scenery, you can’t get much better than Scotland!!! Also can tell just how much fun, I was having! Since I ended up doing the longest cycle of 2017 so far! Ended up doing 63.5 miles!

Was also good fun doing route, that I’ve not done since August 2009, when I did the End to End cycle!

You can check out the full route and stats from the cycle @ www.strava.com/activities/971062599.

I will now leave you with some photos from the cycle!!!

Spider-Man @ Loch Lomond

When you go to Loch Lomond in the evening, the last thing you think will happen is walking into Spider-Man. So no, it’s not me in this suit! Which id what happened today!

So wish, I owned a suit like that, would never want to take it off!

Photos from my mini Loch Lomond tour

Here are some photos taken around the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. It was a great day out! Still can’t get over just how warm Scotland is for the time of year. Normally I would at the least have to worry about ice on the roads. All I had to worry about water on the roads and lots of it!

Could also tell it was warmer than normal. Since there was still lots of people out on there motorbikes. And of course lots of people out cycling. Seeing all the people cycling up the side of Loch Lomond. Did sort of make me wish, I had been one of them.

I will leave you will some of the photos, from today’s super day out! Please make sure you comment on some of the photos :).

Rowardennan area photos

Here are some great photos that my friend Neil took when we drive up the east side of Loch Lomond to a place called Rowardennan.

These photos were taken using a Canon EOS 5D Mark II camera. Which costs more than good second hard priced car!!

Vlog: Killearn to Rowardennan cycle

Vlog about cycling from Killearn to Rowardennan on the eastern shore of Loch Lomond. The route takes in a section of the National Cycle Network route 7, then follows the B837 to Balmaha, then takes the same road all way to end at Rowardennan.

First ever suit, great meal and sailing

Today has been a fantastic to say the least! Got my first ever suit, no not a wetsuit, have lots of them! Went out for a great meal, followed by an evening sailing on Loch Lomond.

Right after that introduction, I will got back to the start of the day. The day started around 9:30am, when I got out of bed to have a shower, feed Ghille, had a bit to eat.

Then it was off to meet up with my oldish brother Douglas and his wife-to-be Lisa. Once I met up with them. We all got the train from Dalmuir to Glasgow Queen Station. We then walked down to Slaters, to get ourselves suits ready for there wedding in September. Believe it or not, I have never owned a suit in my whole life, up till now that is! Normally I really hate clothes shopping, it’s like my idea of hell. But I really liked Slaters. So if I ever need a suit again, I will be for sure using them.

Then after all that hard work of getting suits. We then went to O’Neill’s in the Merchant Square area of Glasgow. Where we had a very nice meal indeed. Never been to that pub before, I would sure go around. Great food, maybe the service has a bit slow. But the food more than make up for that.

After the meal we then got the train back to there flat, but this time from High Street Railway Station. We both then doubled checked the suits filled OK. Which I am pleased to say they did. I will try to get photos of myself wearing it on-line at some point.

Then Douglas and myself set off to Loch Lomond for a evening of sailing on this boat. Which great fun, only the second time, I been out on this boat. Even better this time, since we had great weather. The last time, I was wet. This time the sun was out, just about the whole time.

So it was a great day! But still I was glad when it was over and I was chilling out in front of the TV.

I will now leave you, with some photos from sailing on Loch Lomond.
