Below are the top three most looked at photos on this website so far during March 2019.
Well that turned out to be a extra good cycle! I was only hoping to do around 20 miles, but ended up doing 33.53 miles, making it my longest cycle of 2019! Also cycled up a hill, I’ve never done before! It was 12%, so looking forward to doing that one again!

So far I’ve done:-
- Chesterfield Canal
- Crinan Canal
- Grantham Canal
- Northampton Arm (Grand Union Canal)
- Nottingham & Beeston Canal
- Paddington Arm (Grand Union Canal)
- Regent’s Canal
- Slough Arm (Grand Union Canal)
So which of these, ones do you think, I should take on next?
That sure was a great cycle! Did 62.43 miles, so making it the second longest cycle of the year so far! It could well be my favourite cycle, of 2018! Since I cycled along part of the Grantham Canal. Then stopped off at Bottesford, to get some food, and also check out it’s railway station!
Then it was off to Elton and Orston railway station, which is one of the least used stations in the UK. It only gets two services a day. One to Nottingham at 6:25am and other service to Skegness at 5.10pm. There is no Sunday service. A normal service operates on most bank holidays.
Then it was back home passing Belvoir Castle! So over all, a great cycle!!

I just missed out on doing the longest cycle of the year! I did 63.19 miles, when the longest of the year so far is 63.33 miles! So I just missed out! Oh well! Gives me a reason to try doing a longer one this month!

Here are some great photos from the Grantham Canal section of the route!
Cycling along the Grantham Canal from Grantham, just off the A607 to The Dirty Duck near to Woolsthorpe by Belvoir.
Route used in the video
I had great fun cycling from theBytams to Grantham, then back home via Grantham Canal and Woolsthorpe. I love cycling out that way, since I get to use National Cycle Network Route 15 (NCR 15) which runs along next to Grantham Canal for a good number of miles. Also it’s got some good hills, to give my legs a bit of a workout!
I will now leave you with the route map, elevation graph, route statistics and photos.

Today I give my new Trek 8.3 DS Hybrid Bike it’s first real test. Mainly since I did the longest cycle it’s done so far since getting it. Also it’s the first time I have used it off road. I used it, while cycling along the Grantham Canal towpath. I also used the bike’s bike front suspension. I normal have it locked. Since I just find, all I do is bounce up and down. So it’s nice to have suspension, but can’t see me using it that often.
