Overall 2023 has got off to a great start!

Here are just some of the highlights from 2023 so far!

Staying at the Tan Hill Inn. Which is Britain’s highest public house at 1,732 feet (528m) above sea level.

Going my first holiday with Bugsy! Which included doing the first 3 days of the England Coast Path. Plus walking around coast of Holy Island.

Walking the of Dales Way Links, which took us 17.73 miles from Harrogate to Ilkley.

Using Dent railway station, Which is the highest operational main line station in England, at an altitude of 1,150 feet (350 metres).

Oh and of the biggest single best thing I’ve DONE in years! That was of course, walking the whole of the Dales Way from Ilkley in West Yorkshire to Bowness-on-Windermere in Cumbria.

Bugsy & myself have used 4 new railway stations

During our time up in Cumbria and Yorkshire, while walking the Dales Way. Bugsy and myself can tick off the following railway stations.

We should tick off another 2 or 3 while on our back home, tomorrow…

Dales Way : Day 5 : Lea Yeat to Sedbergh

That’s Bugsy, Mark G and myself done day 5 of the Dales Way, which took us 10.15 miles from Dent railway station, then onto Lea Yeat where we ended the Dales Way yesterday, then along to today’s ending point at Sedbergh.

The highlights from day 5 were… Getting a train from Ribblehead railway station to Dent railway station, which is highest operational main line station in England at 350 metres above sea level. Then walking to the village of Dent it’s self, a walk of around 5 miles.
