Got to say, it feels great saying, that I’ve just done my first ever long distance path from start to end! The total distance was 69.77 miles!

We’ve made a start on walking the Rutland Round, which is a circular walk of about 65 miles round the county of Rutland. Today we did stage one, which took us from Oakham to Uppingham.

All going well, we will do the next stage at some point next week. Which will take us from Uppingham to Barrowden.

Just can’t believe, what a great time, I had in the Lake District. The weather could not have been better! Even got sun burnt, which is not a good thing. That just shows how warm it was!

So here are some photos from day 3 (last day) in the Lake District.

The first three are some around the village we stayed in…

The next ones are from the Keswick Railway Path, which runs from Keswick to Threlkeld. If you are ever in the area, I would recommend it! Check out for more information :).

Here are some photos from day 1 of the mini tour of the Lake District.

On the way up, stopped at the Eden Valley Railway, which is just off the A66. Driven past it so many times. This is the first time, I’ve ever stopped at it! Right now the line, has only got one station which is Warcop Station. It’s only a short line, at approximately 2.2 miles. Still, if you are driving past or in that area, I would check it out!

Once we had checked at Coledale Inn, in Braithwaite, Nr.Keswick. Our base for the next number of days. We set off on a great walk with the dog! We followed a walk in the “Dog Friendly Pub Walks: Lake District” book. Which is where, we also found the place he picked to stay it.

Here are the first very photos of myself wearing my new Hunter Wellington Boots. Got to say, I am well pleased with them! Would not be happy, it I was not! Since after all, they did set me back £74.99!

Oh and yes, sometimes the cat even joins us for the dog walks!

Just playing around with the still image option on the Garmin Virb Elite. Also got a question, for anyone with the Garmin Virb Elite. Does it fix the GoPro poles or not?

Funny when we first got Cooper, just over a year ago. He would not go anywhere near water. Now he jumps in and goes swimming!

BTW This is the first ever video filmed, using my Garmin VIRB Elite action camera. That I got on Tuesday from Evans Cycles.
