Saving Lives at Sea (BBC 2/HD | 8:00pm to 9:00pm | Tuesday 17th September 2019)

A lifeboat crew in Dorset faces the challenge of getting urgent medical aid to a rock climber, who has fallen more than 40 feet and landed on an inaccessible rocky ledge. In Cornwall, a paraglider misjudges his launch and ends up crashing into the sea, while the Redcar crew search for a man who has drifted over a mile offshore in a small toy dinghy.

Sink or Swim (Channel 4/HD | 9:15pm to 10:15pm | Tuesday 17th September 2019)

The day of the cross-channel swim is approaching, and after 12 weeks of gruelling training, the experts decide which of the celebrities is up to the challenge of undertaking a 22-mile relay to France. The team must work together and brave harsh weather and the limits of their own endurance to complete the crossing.

The Great Model Railway Challenge (Channel 5/HD | 8:00pm to 9:15pm | Friday 20th September 2019)

Three teams of modellers are given three days to create masterpieces based on the theme of best-selling book. The Seven Pillars of Wisdom by TE Lawrence (aka Lawrence of Arabia) is the inspiration for the Scarborough Flyers, sci-fi fans the Rail Riders choose HG Wells’ classic War of the Worlds as their muse, while Team Phoenix’s layout is inspired by various tomes by the queen of crime, Agatha Christie. As usual presenters James Richardson and Tim Shaw are joined by expert judges Kathy Millat and Steve Flint.

Celebrity 5 Go Motorhoming Unpacked (Channel 5/HD | 10:15pm to 11:15pm | Friday 20th September 2019)

Leaving Loch Lomond and the midges behind, Lesley Joseph, Don Warrington, Melvyn Hayes, Nick Heyward and Cleo Rocos travel over the sea to Skye via the Glenfinnan Viaduct, a structure made famous by the Harry Potter films. Once on the isle, they are told a tall tale by a kilted Scotsman, almost get blown off the Quiraing and walk in the footsteps of dinosaurs. The excitement isn’t over, as they get to sample scallops straight from the sea. Finally the five all get down to a traditional Scottish ceilidh, which they discover is a lot easier to do than to spell.

On the east coast of Scotland, volunteers from Dunbar race to save three children trapped in a cave by rising tides, while in the west, the Tobermory crew comes to the aid of a yacht caught in a storm and being forced onto the rocks. In England, the Blyth crew searches for an 80-year-old man who has gone missing after leaving home to look for lobsters on the coast.

Sink or Swim (Channel 4/HD | 9:15pm to 10:15pm | Tuesday 10th September 2019)

The remaining celebrities must face their fears if they are to qualify for the cross-channel swim. They tackle their first night swim in Loch Lomond, enduring darkness and gruelling temperatures. Emotions are running high as the team is pushed to the limit, and each swimmer must decide if they are ready to face the challenge ahead.

Train Truckers (Yesterday | 9:00pm to 10:00pm | Thursday 12th September 2019)

Zak and Alex face a four-day mission to deliver a pair of classic steam locomotives for an Autumn Steam Gala at the Mid Hants Railway in Hampshire.

The Great Model Railway Challenge (Channel 5/HD | 8:00pm to 9:00pm | Friday 13th September 2019)

Talented teams are tasked to build awe-inspiring miniature wonderlands against the clock, loaded with stunning scenery and spectacular animations, all to a different weekly theme and designed to impress expert judges Steve Flint and Kathy Millatt. Here, the first of eight gruelling, themed rounds sees `The Restless Earth” brought to life. Three teams of enthusiasts set about manufacturing a deluge of volcanoes, earthquakes and other small-scale natural disasters. Presented by James Richardson and Tim Shaw.

Celebrity 5 Go Motorhoming Unpacked (Channel 5/HD | 10:00pm to 11:05pm | Friday 13th September 2019)

Lesley Joseph reminisces about her childhood bucket-and-spade holidays on the Gower Peninsula, while Cleo Rocos, Melvyn Hayes and Don Warrington climb into the clouds in Snowdonia. The gang then start the Scottish leg of their trip in Edinburgh, where Melvyn’s dad was born, before heading north through the Trossachs. The boys are side-tracked by the intriguingly named Loch Drunkie, while the girls travel by steamboat down Lock Katrine.

A fishing boat in Salcombe goes up in flames with the skipper still aboard, while on the Isle of Sheppey, the lifeboat crew race to the aid of a man stuck in freezing mud in the middle of the night. A dog falls into the river Thames, creating an emergency for the Chiswick crew when the owner dives in to save it – and soon needs rescuing herself.

The celebrities face their first open water experience. James Argent goes on a strict diet in the hope of improving his overall fitness, while Alex Brooker suffers a shoulder injury which could jeopardise his place in the team. The celebrities move on to their first sea swim, a gruelling experience which ends in disaster when an ambulance has to be called out for Tessa Sanderson.

Expert hauliers Eric Harrison and Chris Case move an iconic Deltic diesel, better known as The Royal Highland Fusilier, halfway across the country to the Telford Steam Fair.

Here, Lesley reminisces about her childhood bucket-and-spade holidays on the Gower Peninsula, while the others forage on unspoilt beaches. A boat trip in New Quay delights, and a visit to a Welsh vineyard is fun for everyone apart from the designated drivers. Plus, Melvyn and Cleo visit the location of iconic 1960s TV drama The Prisoner.

Documentary about Scotland’s railway network, meeting people who work on it as well as the steam enthusiasts who safeguard these famous routes. In the first edition, 200 lucky passengers board A4 steam locomotive Union of South Africa as it makes a farewell tour after 50 years of service.

Saving Lives at Sea (BBC 2/HD | 8:00pm to 9:00pm | Tuesday 27th August 2019)

RNLI volunteers in Pembrokeshire, including brothers Hal, Will and Ben, race to the scene when a plane makes an emergency crash landing on one of Wales’ busiest beaches. In Jersey, the St Catherine crew are pushed to the brink when they search for a man who has gone missing at sea in the middle of a fierce winter storm. On the Wirral, the crew of Hoylake launch their specialist rescue hovercraft and race the incoming tide to try and save a horse, which has become stuck fast in the mud and at risk from drowning.

A team of celebrities train for a cross-channel relay swim in support of Stand Up to Cancer, under the coaching of Olympic swimmer Keri-Anne Payne and adventurer Ross Edgley. The team consists of athletes Linford Christie, Tessa Sanderson and Greg Rutherford, Coronation Street’s Sair Khan, The Last Leg’s Alex Brooker, TOWIE’s James Argent and Georgia Kousoulou, Blue singer Simon Webbe, Love Island’s Wes Nelson, Hollyoaks actress Rachel Adedeji, and presenter Diane Louise Jordan.

Documentary following the exploits of a family-run crew of heavy-haulage specialists as they transport the heaviest, longest and most precious locomotives around the world. Terry and Jason have been called in to move legendary steam locomotive Britannia. The 68-year-old vehicle has undergone a major restoration in Crewe and is scheduled to start running at the Severn Valley Railway.

The World’s Most Luxurious Train (Channel 5/HD | 8:00pm to 9:00pm | Friday 30th August 2019)

A look at top-end trains, such as South Africa’s famous Blue Train. A five-star hotel on wheels, guests pay upwards of £2,600 per ticket for the 40-hour journey from Pretoria to Cape Town, enjoying 24-hour butler service, bespoke linen and a soak in their own private bath. Another South African luxury train, Rovos Rail, offers a game drive. In Russia, the Golden Eagle offer a Trans-Siberian train journey, which crosses nine time zones on its two-week journey. The Presidential Train offers a luxury daytrip through the Portuguese countryside, where guests are served a meal created by a Michelin-starred chef.

Companion series revisiting the 2017 motorhome adventure of celebrities Lesley Joseph, Don Warrington, Melvyn Hayes, Nick Heyward and Cleo Rocos as they made their way across the stunning Welsh landscape. Lesley visits her old friend Cleo to reminisce about their time together on the trip, during which the freedom of the open road and the cosy living conditions brought these celebrity strangers closer together, as they visited off-the-beaten-track waterfalls and priories in the depths of south Wales. With the benefit of hindsight, Cleo and Lesley spill the beans amid some previously unseen footage.
