Cyprus 2014 just been booked!

OMG! For the third year, I am going to Cyprus! We have booked the same apartment that we have used before. This time, we are flying out from Glasgow Airport. Which will make nice change. Since the last two times, we have used Stansted Airport.

This time, I will fly back just before my birthday. Which I don’t mind at all. Since this time, we are mainly going for my Dad’s 70th! Best not say much more about it. He does not like people speaking about his age.

Photos from my mini Loch Lomond tour

Here are some photos taken around the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. It was a great day out! Still can’t get over just how warm Scotland is for the time of year. Normally I would at the least have to worry about ice on the roads. All I had to worry about water on the roads and lots of it!

Could also tell it was warmer than normal. Since there was still lots of people out on there motorbikes. And of course lots of people out cycling. Seeing all the people cycling up the side of Loch Lomond. Did sort of make me wish, I had been one of them.

I will leave you will some of the photos, from today’s super day out! Please make sure you comment on some of the photos :).

Queer as Pop: From the Gay Scene to the Mainstream

I would like to say a big thanks to Channel 4 for showing “Queer as Pop: From the Gay Scene to the Mainstream”. Just hope that some of my straight mates also watched it.

It’s the first of three programmes tonight on Channel 4 (Friday 27th December 2013) around the theme of the importance of the gay scene and its musical icons in pop culture. This documentary charts the men, music and moments that have brought pop music out of the closet and changed the world along the way. Queer as Pop details how the gay clubs and scene have inspired and affected the music mainstream over the last 40 years. This fascinating documentary shows how music has been influenced by the political and social liberation of gay men, charting key events from the repealing of laws banning homosexuality, through to the emergence of the disco era and the David Bowie-inspired New Romantics. Chic’s Nile Rodgers, DJ Paul Oakenfold, Jake Shears of Scissor Sisters and Erasure’s Andy Bell discuss the evolutionary music scene spanning disco, New Romantics and house, through to Lady Gaga and beyond.

Missed it and live in the UK? Then watch it via 40d at www.channel4.com/programmes/queer-as-pop-from-gay-scene-to-mainstream.

That’s me in Scotland! Missed all the bad weather!

That’s me in Scotland! Think I picked the right day to drive up. If tomorrows weather is anything to go by! Did see some snow while going over the A66 and was a bit windy at times. But over all the weather was good. It also pissed it done at times. But nothing that really slowed me down.

Here is a photo, just to show it was really snowing at the top of the A66.

The doors open at 6:30pm with the first race at 7:30pm.
