Shame (Part 1/2). Series 29, episode 9. Nikki, Jack, Harriet and Kit must navigate complex international tensions as they investigate the apparent suicide of a British-Chinese pro-democracy activist. Nikki uncovers evidence the woman was already dead before she supposedly drowned herself, and that she may have had a price on her head set by the Hong Kong government, who viewed her as a threat to national security.

Silent Witness (BBC 1/HD | 9:00pm to 10:00pm | Tuesday 3rd March 2026)

Shame (Part 2/2). Series 29, episode 10. Mei Li reveals her life is at risk because she is a pro-democracy protester who organised a demonstration to free a political prisoner. Kit finds the arrest warrant for Mei Li, which states there is a bounty of $1 million for her capture, leading the team to wonder if they are looking at state-sponsored murder. However, the case takes an unexpected turn with the death of a second victim, while Burns reveals the identity of the dead woman originally thought to have been Mei Li. But as Nikki follows up further evidence, she soon finds herself in danger.
