Days that Shook the BBC with David Dimbleby (BBC 2/HD | 9:00pm to 10:00pm | Tuesday 30th August 2022) ** NEW SERIES **

A personal take on controversies that affected the BBC during the presenter’s time there, including its role in key moments of political and cultural change. In the first episode, David examines the way that the BBC has dealt with power, and how it has sought to preserve and assert its independence over the last half century. From Margaret Thatcher and Harold Wilson, to the British monarchy, David considers moments in which the BBC has come into conflict with key parts of the establishment. Following conversations with current and former BBC staff members, including broadcaster Emily Maitlis, David argues that ensuring the BBC’s separation from those in power lies at the very heart of the Corporation’s remit.

VeloViewer Infographic : 23 August 2022 @veloviewer

Going by my VeloViewer Infographic, I’ve had 235 active days so far in 2022! Which means, I’ve done at least one cycle or walk each day so far this year!

That’s me now done a total distance of 2,117 miles this year. Which is made up 1,271 miles of cycling and 846 miles of walking!!

So pleased with myself! I’ve just done my first 50+ mile cycle of 2022!

Where it says running… That’s my walking data!

First time at Elton and Orston railway station during 2022

Been to Elton and Orston railway station many times over the years! Even got a train from it twice, but not for a number of years!

You maybe thinking WOW. You, got a train from a railway station. But during 2020/21 only 12 people used it! Plus it only gets two trains a day, one each way. Plus no Sunday service.
