Part two of two. Three more presenters visit threatened ecoystems around the world. Liz Bonnin is in California, discovering how climate change has led to wildfires. Gordon Buchanan reports from Brazil, joining a project to save the jaguar. Ade Adepitan visits Kenya, and discovers how rising temperatures have led to droughts and limited rainfall, with severe implications for wildlife.

Grand Designs: The Street (Channel 4/HD | 9:00pm to 10:00pm | Wednesday 4th May 2022)

The property show follows animator Joanna and carpenter Ben, who are building a magnificent American ranch-style house in a gritty part of Glasgow. Like the buildings of the Wild West which inspires them, the couple’s house will be made from simple materials with a structural Douglas fir frame and clad entirely in larch with a rustic tin roof. But with a tight budget of £170,000, Joanna and Ben can only afford it if they construct it themselves. The trouble is, they have never built a house before.

Lighthouses: Building the Impossible (Channel 5/HD | 9:00pm to 10:00pm | Friday 6th May 2022)

Rob Bell explores the bizarre history of The Smalls, one of Britain’s most remote offshore lighthouses. Situated 20 miles off the Pembrokeshire coast, its isolated location on a reef in the Irish Sea has challenged builders, architects and keepers for over 200 years, leaving it wreathed in dark tales and mystery.
