Narrowboater Robbie Cumming begins a 170-mile journey across the north of England. However, he soon runs into difficulty when he encounters a propeller problem in Wigan and runs aground in Blackburn. Nevertheless, he pushes on to navigate a true wonder of the waterways, the Burnley Embankment.

The Olympic diver takes on an epic endurance challenge as he rows, cycles, swims and runs his way from the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford to his home town of Plymouth. The first day begins with a 5am start at the Aquatics Centre in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, where Tom won his first Olympic medal in 2012. Just nine weeks earlier Tom had never been in a rowing boat before, but his challenge begins with a demanding five mile row all the way to Tower Bridge in central London.

Heartbroken Adam is living at Greg’s and trying to find a new flat, and to cover the cost of his expensive break-up he does a locum shift at a private hospital, where he gets an eye-opening idea of how the other half lives. However, he soon realises how ill-equipped the hospital is in the case of an emergency. Meanwhile, Shruti shows how much she has improved when she takes charge of a challenging night shift.

On the last leg of his epic journey across the north of England, narrowboater Robbie Cumming tackles the fast-flowing River Ouse and is forced to make an emergency stop. His destination is Ripon Basin at the outer reaches of Britain’s inland waterways.
