Longest cycle per month : 2012

Below is the longest cycle I did in each month during 2012. The aim is this year, every month to make sure, I do a longer cycle than I did in the same month of 2012.

  • January : 36.26 miles : Sunday 29th
  • February: 44.28 miles : Thursday 23rd
  • March : 65.4 miles : Monday 19th
  • April : 65.46 miles : Monday 30th
  • May : 71 miles : Tuesday 29th
  • June : 41.21 miles : Monday 18th
  • July : 42.7 miles : Monday 23rd
  • August : 101.62 miles : Tuesday 21st
  • September : 45.3 miles : Sunday 9th
  • October : 40.71 : Monday 15th
  • November : 28.61 : Monday 19th
  • December : 26.94 : Sunday 9th

January 2013 cycling statistics

Here are my cycling statistics for January 2013. I am off to a very, very bad start. I am down 222.6 miles, on what I had done by this time last year!!! But at least I have set a new record for the longest cycle in January.

So far my yearly stands at 178.38 miles. Total miles since April 2003 is now at 27,093.7.

29-Jan-2013 : Longest cycle of January 2013 so far!

That’s more like it. Just beating my longest January cycle ever. Which I set on Sunday 29th January 2012. Which happens to be 1 year ago today. I only just worked that out, when looked at my cycle log.  Also happy now my total for this month is looking much better! Still way, way down on January 2012. But much better than I was doing two days ago!!

28-Jan-2013 : First wetsuited cycle of 2013!

Well pleased with myself. At first I was not going to do any cycling at all today, due to strong winds. When I checked the wind speed before setting up is was showing wind speeds of 60 mph. But since my miles so far this month has been very, very low. Due to having about 2 week of no cycling due to snow and ice. I made up my mind, to hell if it and went out! I ended up doing the longish cycle of the year so far. I did 28.94 miles, but my avg speed was a bit on the slow side, to the very strong head winds.

It also happens to be my first wetsuited cycle of the year!! The wind was so cold, I so glad I had it on!

Vlog: Last wetsuit turbo trainer vlog for a while

If the weather man is right, this will be the last wetsuit turbo trainer vlog for a while. Since it looks like the snow is on the way out and warmer and wetter weather is on the way!! 🙂
