1st April 2002 |
Well, today's
the day! What day I hear you ask... well today's the day David
and Me get to see Gareth Gates at the Pop Idol concert!
Well, what a day it was, first of all David and me had to get
the train from Nottingham train station, we got on the train really
early, and arrived in Birmingham
New Street train station about 12:00pm and that's when the
fun started, we went into the city centre and then "Beep,
Beep, Beep" David and my "Gaydars" were beeping
till breaking point, the amount of talent in Birmingham was unbelievable.
We decided to go into Topman and on the way out David fell up the stairs staring into a cute
guys eyes (Serves him right) which I found very funny.
David and me then went into JJB
Sports to buy a Baseball Cap, the woman serving us made a
comment stating "Not another one of them" (You know
what she means!)
We then caught the train to Birmingham International Train Station
where we then tried to find our way to the hotel which we have
previously booked, after an hour and a half of wandering aimlessly
we managed to find a road sign point the direction of our hotel,
but it estimated nearly 1 and a half miles walking distance, so
off we went..
When we got to the Premier
Lodge David and me liked the room especially the beds! David
then went downstairs and booked a taxi to take us to the concert
at 6:00pm. So until then David and me filled the rest of time
we had getting ready, and having fun.
The taxi arrived on time and whisked us to the concert, it started
at 7:30pm and was televised, David and me screamed our throats
out, and when Gareth Gates came on David had a hot flush and was
virtually uncontrollable.
At the end of the night we walked back to the hotel and we had
a drink in the bar before retiring to our room.
I would like to thank David for
helping me to write this. |
| Wednesday - 3rd April 2002 |
David and me went a drive into
the countryside then went a nice walk together. I can't believe
how warm it is for April. We ended up going out in just out t-shirts,
and jeans.
Once we got back to David's parents house, David cooked his mum,
and me food. Then David and me we went to Darren's house.
Darren, David and myself went out to The Mill, a gay pub in Nottingham
for Darren's birthday. It's the first that that I had been the
place, it was nice, just very quiet. Then after all it is Wednesday
night after all. |
Thursday - 4th April 2002 |
I helped Darren do some gardening,
went to court. Then we went out for a nice pub meal. It was not
back at all two meals for £5.
When David got back from work, David and me went to this folks
house for a while. Then it was back to Darren's house. |
| Monday - 14th January 2002 |
| Tonight Mark, and myself went
a walk to the local pub, with Jimmy and Pebbles. We asked Neil the
landlord if it would be ok, if the dogs come in with us. Neil was
great about it, and said yes. Lucky for both of us they were both
very well behaved. |
| Friday - 5th April 2002 |
David
and me went to Skegness. It was a good idea of David's to go to
the seaside. We just could not believe how cold is was when we got
their. We had a quick look around, then got back in the car where
it was nice and warm.
On the way back we stopped at Frankie
and Bennys to get food. David and me love food from there.
Then in evening David, Darren, and me went to The Mill in Nottingham
for a quick drink, then we went a NG1 for a couple more. |
| Saturday - 6th April 2002 |
| Would you believe it? That's David
and me now been going out for 10 weeks today. What a great 10 weeks
they have been. |
| Sunday - 7th April 2002 |
| David's parent's toke David and
me out for a meal. Which was, very nice of them. It was great getting
to hear stories of when David was younger. |
| Friday - 12th April 2002 |
| It's Friday, thank god for that.
It's just been one of them weeks. I have had a very bad cold. I
ended up taking Monday and Tuesday off work because of it.
Work today was fun. Just it was I bit hot in the offices. I installed
Client 32 on more of the computers running Windows ME and updated
the staff Intranet site.
With it being Friday, yes you guessed it, I am sitting on the
7:02pm train from Peterborough to Nottingham to see David. I can
already tell it's going to be a great weekend. |
| Saturday - 13th April
2002 |
| David and me both went to get
our hair cut. We both think that each other look a lot more sexy
with shorter hair.
In the evening Darren, David and me went to NG1. It was a great
night. It's the first time that I have been there on a Saturday
night. They were playing more of my type of music. It was like
they were playing my MP3 collection. I had not dancing for such
a long time. David and me both danced for well over 2 hours. Normally
David can't get me to dance. But for some reason I was just in
the mood for it. I have no idea why. |
| Sunday - 14th April 2002 |
| I have NOT been looking forward
to this day for a while. Because my love, David goes back to Liverpool.
I have seen him nearly every day for the last 3 weeks or so. I will
really miss him. Well at least it's not long till Thursday, when
I get to see him again. |
| Tuesday - 16th April 2002 |
| Today I ordered more memory for
my laptop from Crucial
Technology, because Windows 2000 Pro is going so slow with only
128 MB. When it's got 256, I hoping that it will speed things up.
I will find out all tomorrow when it arrives.
Tonight when I got back from work, I went my first cycle of the
year. It may have only been a 6 mile round trip to Castle Bytham.
Hey it's a start and I feel all the better for it. I just hope
that I can keep it up every time the weather is nice when I get
back from work. |
| Wednesday - 17th April 2002 |
| I only ordered the memory for
my laptop yesterday, and today it arrived at about 10:00am not bad
at all for free delivery. When I installed the memory I noticed
the difference straight away, things now load more, or less straight
away.
When I got back from work I went on my bike for the 2nd night
in a row. Only to Castle Bytham, but by the end of the month I
should be cycling to Stamford again most nights. |
| Thursday - 18th April
2002 |
Hey, hey, hey. It's Thursday
and I am on the train going to Liverpool to see my David. I have
not seen him since Sunday, and I am missing him like mad. Not
long to go now.
The journey has not been too bad other then I managed to miss
the train that I was hoping to get, and for some unknown reason
I had to change trains at Birmingham. Which will have only added
a couple more minutes onto the journey. As long has I get there
in the end, that's the main thing. |
| Friday - 19th April 2002 |
| My David, Helen (one of David's
friends) and me went to Pizza
Hut to get food. The food was great as always. Then we all went
to the Albert
docks to have a look around. It's only the second time that
I have been there. Last time it was nice, just a bit windy. It was
great to get to see the place when it was sunny and warm. I just
wish I had taken my digital camera with me, it would have been a
great day to get photos of David, and me together. Oh well there
is always next time! |
| Wednesday - 24th April 2002 |
| Oh what a day. I am glad that
it's over. I have been in a bit of a bad mood all day, nothing new
there I hear you say. I don't know what's been up with me today
at all. I think it's may just be the weather, it's way too nice
to be working. It's only April and already the offices are getting
way to hot.
At least when I got back from work, things got a bit better.
I went out on my bike for the third night in a row. I have always
found cycling a good way to help me get things sorted out in my
head.
One more thing, it's now less than 24 hours till I see David
again. I can't wait. I LOVE you so MUCH David... xoxoxoxoxo. |
| Friday - 26th April 2002 |
| David, his mum and me went to Ikea in Nottingham,
till today they had ever been before. It was good fun. David found
some very nice desks that he would love to get. We also found a
very nice office chair, and lots of other cool stuff too. |
| Saturday - 27th April 2002 |
David and me went to Birmingham
for the day, to have a look around and also to do some shopping.
We got the train from Nottingham, via Leicester which we will
know not to do again because it adds about 1/2 hour onto the journey.
I think we were both amazed how many gay people there are in Birmingham,
both our gaydars could not cope.
I was amazed of how much of the place I could remember, from
when I went there with Barry.
We went to Pizza
Hut for lunch, anyone would think that we live in the place
with the number of times that we go there. Then it was back to
looking around the shops. David got a very sexy white t-shirt.
And I got a blue t-shirt.
When we got from Birmingham at about 7:00pm, we went Darren's
to stay the evening. When we got there Darren had cooked food
for us, which was very nice of him, he is a great cook. |
| Friday - 3rd May 2002 |
Today David and me went shopping
in Manchester. We got the train from Liverpool Lime Street train
station at about 11:00am. David and me had never been shopping
to Manchester before. It was a good day out. It would have been
a lot better if it had not rained. Oh well these things happened,
and they always happen to us. David and me both got ourselves
some new clothes.
On the train back from Manchester some vandals threw something
at the train and it hit the front window. So the train had to
terminate at Warrington Central. David and me were half expecting
it as the train was travelling very slow indeed.
We got the next train from that station which arrived not too
late after we stopped, it was a First North Western train, we
had to stand all the way to Liverpool Lime Street, we got back
into the station 45 minutes longer than we should have, apart
from that we had a good day at Manchester.
When David and me got back to his flat we just relaxed, ate and
went to bed. |
| Saturday - 4th May 2002 |
| Oh my god, its been 14 weeks now
since me and David started going out, and its not a day too long.
Today David and me did some clothes shopping for the second day
in a row, this time it was in Liverpool. I spent just over £100,
that is a lot of money for me to spend on clothes in one day.
Well I do need them so in that way it is money well spent.
When we got back we took some photos of each other. Then David
cooked us both food. It was very nice, it was just very, very
hot. |
Sunday - 5th May 2002 |
David
and me mind up our minds it was too nice of a day to stay inside
and lay on the bed and tell each other how much we love one each
other. So I grabbed my camera and David grabbed his car keys and
we jumped into his car (I really need to learn how to drive).
We didn't have a clue where to go, so we drove down the M62 to
see if there were any decent near by places to go to... then we
saw the sign for Chester. I had been to Chester before, but not
for a very long time. I could not remember how nice it was last
time I went, so we set off towards Chester.
When we got there David started to get frustrated as the road
markings and road signs are really bad, we seemed to be going
round in circles looking for a car park.
We
eventually went into Tesco's car park and had to spend £5
on chocolate and icecream (What a shame) so we did that and headed
off towards the centre.
We walked around the River Dee and took some photos of each other.
David was wearing an England footie kit and looked very very cute.
Before we went back to Davids we walked around the walls, it was
a very nice and relaxing day, it made me realise how much I love
David. |
| Tuesday - 7th May 2002 |
| Well, after being with David for
a 5 day weekend (hehe) it is time for me to leave him, until Friday
anyway when I will see him again...David had an exam today, I could
tell that he was not looking forward to it at all, and seemed quite
tense. When he had finished it he came back to his flat and I gave
him a nice big hug.
David said that it had gone fine and that he loved me and we
had a kiss and a cuddle... while David was in the exam I sorted
out the photos we took yesterday and I quite like most of them,
David and me are getting a lot better at having pictures taken.
At 5:15pm ish David walked me down to Liverpool Lime Street Train
station to get on the 5:49pm train to Peterborough...we have had
another good weekend and I love David all the more. I can't wait
till Friday when I get to see him again. |
| Thursday - 9th May 2002 |
| I can't believe that it's Thursday
already. Saying that it was a Bank Holiday on Monday, and I was
off work on Tuesday.
At work I spend half of the day updated the company website,
then the other half of it trying to up load it. Because BT Connect
ftp server is not very good at all. I got it all updated in the
end that's the main thing.
In the evening I went to the local pub, with Mark for a mean.
I had ham, egg and chips, and to drink I had a Pepsi.
When I got back from the pub, I got my clothes and stuff sorted
out for going to see David tomorrow in Liverpool. I am so glad
that I have a young persons rail card with on the train trips
that I am doing. |
| Friday - 10th May 2002 |
| Oh what a train journey that has
been. I had a feeling it was going to be a bad one when I not long
after I got on the train Peterborough, because the train should
have left Peterborough at 5:30pm, it ended up leaving at about 5:40pm
not a good start. The train did not get to Nottingham till about
7:00pm, it should only take about 1 hour 6 minutes. The train then
sat in Nottingham train station for about 10 minutes, because they
were having problems with it. By the train I get into Liverpool
Lime Street station is was after 10:00pm, when it should have got
there at 9:25pm.
Well it's better to be last then never get they're at all. The
best thing about the while journey of course the end, because
of course David was they're waiting for me at the train station. |
| Saturday - 11th May 2002 |
| That's David and me now been going
now for 15 weeks today. That means that this is my longest relationship
ever, and better then that I can't see this one ever coming to a
end. |
| Monday - 13th May 2002 |
| This is my last full week at work
till the end of September, till then I will only be doing up to
2 days every 2 weeks. So that I can spent has much time with my
boyfriend has I possible can.
After work I went into Peterborough to meet up with Margaret.
Has today is her birthday. It was a really good night. We all
had a great time. I was only drinking Coke all drink which is
a good thing. |
| Tuesday - 28th May 2002 |
| Yes I am still alive. I have been
on holiday with my boyfriend David for the last week, so I have
not had the time to update my website. I will be uploading it very
soon, with what David and me did on holiday, and also be adding
photos of my new hair style to the photo gallery. |
| Friday - 31st May 2002 |
Today I went out of my first
cycle since moving to Nottingham. I only cycled from Clifton to
Clifton Bridge. It works out as only about 4.4 miles, better than
nothing at all.
Once I got back from my cycle David and me went to NG1,
when we got there we found out that is was Poptastic night, we both like it because the music is normally very good. |
| Saturday - 1st June 2002 |
| David and me washed his car, as
it had not been washed since we went to Scotland, his car was really
dirty. We started having a bit of a water fight as you do. Then
I did some gardening. Well it was a very nice day, and yes I do
like gardening too.
Then David and me went to his parents for something to do, and
also so that we could play about on the Internet for a while.
We also went to Special Reserve so that I could buy a cable to
make my computer speakers work. We ended up being there for over
an hour because David use to work there, and one of the people
he use to work with is very funny, and could not stop making us
laugh.
Then we went back to my place to watch a DVD. We watched Get
Real. If you have never seen it, then go and buy it, as it is
a fantastic gay film.
Oh one more thing, David and me have now been going out for 18
weeks as of today. |
| Monday - 3rd June 2002 |
Today David and me went into
Nottingham city centre to meet up with one of my friends, Margeret
and her boyfriend. We then all had a look around some shops. David
and me got the away England shirt and also a very nice poster
of Gareth Gates.
On the way back from Nottingham, David and me stopped in at B&Q to have a look for a bedside table, we could find everything else
other than what we wanted.
In the evening I went a cycle to Clifton Bridge, as you may have
worked out I am trying to get fit again. |
| Monday - 10th June 2002 |
Today David and me went to
the cinema to see 40 Days and 40 Nights. It was alright film,
not as good as we were hoping it would be. It was still an OK
film. Don’t think that David or me would really want to
see it again. Sometimes you go and see a film, and you think you
would be more then happy to pay to see it again. 40 Days and 40
Nights was not one of them films.
When we got back the cinema David cooked us some food. Awwwww
what a great boyfriend he is.
It was also a bit of a sad day, because I will not get to see
him again to Wednesday, I have seen him for every day now for
just coming up to a month. |
| Tuesday - 11th June 2002 |
Today I had to get up at 5:30am
to get the 6:25am train from Nottingham to Peterborough, so that
I could be at Peatling
by 9:00am, it was all going to plan, till the train was coming
into Loughborough, when I could start to smile smoke coming from
somewhere. The train sit at Loughborough for about 10 minutes,
with staff looking at the train, then they told us the train had
breaking down. We would have to get the next train to Leicester,
and then change there for Peterborough, should have been at Peterborough
station train at 7:25am, I ended up getting there about 1 hour
late.
When I got to Peatling, I had to setup a new profile on NetWare
5.1 for a new member of staff, once I had done that I did the Dreamweaver level 3 course. I was amazed with just how many things that you
can do with it. If I can remermber 50% of them I will be more
then happy.
Once I got back from work. I went with Mark's, local pub to have
some food. Then I watched some TV, then it was off to bed.
It was a bit of a long day with getting up at 5:30am. Don't think
that I could do that every day, it would just about kill me. |
| Wednesday - 12th June 2002 |
At work I got a lot of things
done. I updated their website for the first time in a while, did
a backup of all of their main files on their NetWare 5.1 server. I also did some reconfiguring to the Apache HTTP proxy server, that runs on Windows 2000 Professional.
Then it was back to Nottingham on the 5:29pm train from Peterborough
train station. If I had been a minute later I would have missed
the train. When I got there my boyfriend David picked me up to
give me a lift home. Awww how nice of him.
Then we had a rest for a while before he helped me make up a
new computer desk which we got from Jessops.
That took about 1 hour, then he helped me rearrange my room to
make it feel a lot more homely. It isnice to have a room for the
first time in over a year that feels really like home. I am starting
to get really use to Nottingham since moving there.
Then we watched Big Brother before he had to go home, as he has
work first thing in the morning. I hope that it all goes well
as it is his first day there.
P. S. You can now read David's latest news on his website at
www.david-orange.com. (Removed link, website no longer on-line) |
| Saturday - 15th June 2002 |
That's David and me how been
going out for 20 weeks.
David, Darren, and we went to Asda to do some food shopping. When we got back we had BBQ, the first
one that I had in a long time, it was good fun. Then we all got
already and went to NG1 for a night out. |
| Sunday - 16th June 2002 |
| Today David and me ordered a 30
metre Enhanced Cat5 network cable, and some printer cartridges from Inmac. All
going to plan we will have them on Tuesday. Why a 30 metre cable?
I hear you ask, its so that I can connect the computer down stairs
to my Buffalo
Switch and so when Darren and myself get broadband Internet
access we can surf the net on any computer in the house. |
| Tuesday - 18th June 2002 |
I went into Nottingham City
centre in the morning to sign up with the same job agency as David
is using. I was very, very nervous about it, as I had never done
anything like it before. Luckily is was not too bad. Now I just
have to wait to see if they can find me any work.
In the afternoon I went a cycle it was about 6 ½ miles
which taken me just over 30 minutes which is not bad at all. I
love Nottingham as there are so many cycle routes I can use. I
will need to get a map of them all. |
| Wednesday - 19th June 2002 |
Today I woke up to very nice
surprise. Do you really want to know? Since you asked so nicely.
I woke up to find my boyfriend David standing in my room. It's
the second time this week. Awwww it's so cute of him.
Once I got out of bed, I installed a newer version of Apache on my desktop, and laptop. As I use Apache to test all my website's,
and CGI scripts before they go on-line. I also use it has a Proxy
server to speed up my Internet access.
In the afternoon David stopped over on his lunch break. Then
later on in the afternoon I went out a cycle. I am making the
most of the warm weather while it lasts.
Once David had finished work for the day, he drove over to my
place, to pick me up, then we went to his house for food. And
to get the stuff that we had ordered from Inmac on Sunday.
Then it was back to my place, we listened to some music etc,
then he had to go back home as he has work first thing in the
morning. |
| Saturday - 22nd June 2002 |
| Today David and me went into Nottingham
to take photos for our Nottingham Gay Scene website. We’re
hoping that website will be on-line later this week all going to
plan, so watch this space for the URL.
Once we had sorted out the photos we went back into Nottingham
for a night out at NG1 it was good a night out. We left early because we were both tired,
when I say early I mean about 12:00am. |
| Monday - 24th June 2002 |
NTL came to install broadband Internet, so no more waited for my modern
to connect to the Internet. David helped me install it, on my
computer. Has he already has cable Internet access, and has been
though it all before.
It was all working great till I wanted it to work over the network.
Has I am good at doing I killed it. Lucky NTL's support is very
good. They spoke me though all the ways to try to get it working.
He said that some 10speed network don't work. I removed the 10
speed NIC, and install it again, and hey it worked again. Then
I got toke a 10/100 NIC that I had in another machine to get the
Inernet working over the work. So all is well that ends well.
Then it was off the bed early, has I have to get up at 5:30am,
to get the 6:22am train to work. |
| Tuesday - 25th June 2002 |
I had to get up at 5:30am,
to get the 6:25am train to Stamford, to get a lift to Wisbech
to do more work for Peatling, the company that I use to work full
time for till I moved to Nottingham.
When I was there I installed new versions of Apache on both their
NetWare 5.1 server, and also on Windows 2000 Pro, then I had to
fix many things on theBythams website, I also did a quick update of there main website.
Then Mark and me had to go to Cambridge, so sort some things out.
In the evening it was off to the local pub to get food. Then
I phoned David, then it was off to bed at about 10:30pm, as I
have to get up early tomorrow as well. |
| Wednesday - 26th June
2002 |
| It was up again early today, lucky
not has early has the other day. When I got to Peatling I did some
more stuff to their website, adding some more profiles for new staff
on NetWare. At about 4:30pm I finished work, so that I could get
to 5:29pm train from Peterborough to Nottingham, where the very
nice Darren was waiting to give me a lift home. |
